Brand New Walking Path Celebration

Residents and guests at the Highlands at Wildwood Lake Active Senior Living Community came together on Monday, October 17, to celebrate the newest addition to the Highlands Community, a ¾ mile walking path around Wildwood Lake.

Guests of the event enjoyed a walk around the path, heart healthy turkey chili bar, fresh fruit, desserts and refreshments. All visitors also received a Highlands at Wildwood Lake pedometer and entered their names in a raffle to win products by Bath & Body Works and a $50 Gift Certificate to Cracker Barrel.

Pictures from our A LIVING HISTORY OF AMERICAN WARS The Highlands at Wildwood Lake Senior Apartment Community

The Highlands at Wildwood Lake, Senior Community, hosted a Living History of American Wars on June 11th as a fundraiser for the Stars & Stripes Honor Flight.  The weather was not as wonderful as we would have hoped but everyone who attended had a wonderful time! This exciting timeline event featured period costumes and weapons presented by true living historians.  The event opened with a ceremony by the Color Guard and morning music was provided by the Ambassadors of Harmony. War representations & blank firing demonstrations took place throughout the day! Memorabilia from our Highland Veterans was showcased in our very own “Hall of Heroes.” Food was sold by Fox River Christian Church as a fundraiser for their Kenya Missions trip. This free community event had something for the entire family!
